FAQ
1. Do I need a building permit for this type of container house in Europe or the US?
In most cases, movable container houses are not considered permanent structures and do not require a traditional building permit, but regulations vary by region. We recommend checking with your local planning authority. We can also provide structural certifications compliant with international modular building standards (e.g., EN 1090) to assist with documentation.
2. How is the structural safety? Can it withstand strong winds or heavy snow?
We use reinforced steel frames, and the walls and roofs are designed based on load calculations. Standard models can withstand wind speeds of up to approximately 120 km/h and snow loads of 1.5 kN/m². If you are located in hurricane-prone or heavy snowfall areas, we can upgrade the steel specifications and provide load certification reports.
3. Is it prone to rust over long-term use? What anti-corrosion measures are in place?
The unit is made of galvanized steel panels, with surfaces treated through shot blasting and coated with a three-layer anti-corrosion system (primer + epoxy mid-coat + polyurethane topcoat). For coastal or high-humidity areas, we offer marine-grade anti-corrosion treatment and provide a 10-year rust protection warranty.
4. What about thermal insulation and energy efficiency? Can it meet Passive House standards?
The standard version uses 50mm thick rock wool or EPS panels, which meet environmental standards. You can also upgrade to PU (polyurethane) panels, with thickness options of 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm available. If higher energy efficiency is required, we can provide insulation solutions that comply with Passive House standards and assist with the relevant certification process.
5. How are the internal water and electrical systems configured? Are they compatible with local standards?
We offer pre-installed water and electrical systems, with electrical interfaces compliant with IEC/EN standards. Plumbing systems can be adapted to European or American fittings. All cables are routed through flame-retardant conduits, and smart home module interfaces are reserved. The systems can be directly connected to local utilities during installation.
6. If I need to relocate or modify the unit in the future, can the modules be disassembled and reassembled?
The structure uses bolted connections rather than welding, allowing for non-destructive disassembly and reassembly. The modular design supports horizontal or vertical expansion. After relocation, the unit can be re-certified for use, and we can provide a structural safety review report.
