Brighton, United Kingdom

A 40-foot-tall, modular apartment complex constructed from custom-made shipping containers has been constructed in Brighton, England. Composed of 36 shipping containers, the apartment is designed to provide a cozy home for homeless individuals. It also features a custom balcony and exterior staircase. The interior features a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and other areas, along with wardrobes, sofas, and other furniture. Designed for those experiencing homelessness, the apartment can accommodate approximately 40 people.
Recognizing the UK's rainy weather, the apartment was constructed using 100mm thick rock wool, which effectively resists moisture and fire, ensuring a warm and welcoming home for the homeless.
